Property:
1.easy to be used, good solubility. Fully diluted in water, suitable for continuous addition.
2.Good acid stability, PH 2~12. it can achieve high whiteness
3. In common storage consition, good stability.
4. Excellent white performance, especially suitable for achieving high whiteness in coating and sizing process.
5.Good light fastness, acid resistant, and alkali resistant.
6. good stability at reductant and peroxide.
Applied on the surface coatings
OBAHS gives high and very high whiteness when applied in surface coatings with natural and synthetic binders and commercial pigments at PH 7-11.The effect depends on the type and amount of co-binders such as CMC,PVA and synthetic products.
Applied at the size press
it can be incorporated in size press liquids based on solubility and/or modified starches and applied in combination with PVA,CMC and liquids containing pigments. Performance is almost not affected by the base paper PH.
PROPERTIES
Chemical construction: Triazine Stilbene Derivates (HEXA SULFA)
Appearance: Clear, yellowish to yellowish-brown liquid
Whitening intensity: 100±3 points compared with standard
Specific gravity(25℃): About 1.1g/cm3
Storage stability: OBAHS has good stability to storage and cold temperatures. Prolonged storage at temperatures below-10℃can result in product freezing. Frozen procuct can be restored to its original state without lost of effectiveness by leaving to stand at room temperature or heating briefly to temperatures no higher than 50℃.
SHADE
OBAHS gives a slightly reddish white in all applications. Even at high concentrations it does not green off.
ECOLOGY/TOXICOLOGY
The usual hygiene and safety rules for handling chemicals should be observed in storage, handling and use. The produc must not be swallowed.
APPLICATION
Applied in coating
OBAHS can be used to produce high and very high white coated papers
OBAHS does not have adequate affinity for coating pigments and synthetic binders, therefore the carrier are need, i.e.it’s the best effect to applied with about 1.0% carrier. the highest whiteness, are to be achieved with SBL-1.Suitable carriers, in order of their effectiveness, are PVA,CMC,starch and synthetic co-binders. It can be incorporated in coating compounds ranging in PH from 7-11.
Average dosage: 1.5-4.0 parts, calculated on the coating pigment.
OBAHS at the size press
OBAHS has been developed for high and very high levels of whiteness which cannot be achieved with other whitener due to greening.
Having only moderate affinity for the cellulose fiber, OBAHS at size press allows for a highly uniform whiteness. It is equally effective with all starches used in size press application and can be applied together with PVA, CMC, anionic and slightly cationic, and synthetic sizing additives.
Average dosage: 5-40g/l size press liquor
